Renovations
A New Look
Home to the performing arts department, Mallinckrodt's 2019 renovations reaffirmed the Center’s mission as the home of creativity and collaboration. By bringing together academic programs, such as the Writing Center, with student-facing services like the Skandalaris Center, the updated design strengthens a multipurpose environment. Over the years, the Center has continued to adapt to new needs while maintaining its long-standing tradition as a connector for students, faculty, and staff.
“The co-location of two of the university's most important academic units — the Writing Center and Writing Program — along with other student-facing programs, including the Skandalaris Center, makes great sense and will make excellent use of the Mallinckrodt space. The building has a long history of academic and student use, and this is the logical next step in its mission.”
