Current Mallinckrodt: Student Spaces
Living Through Time
The Center has always been a lived space for students. It’s where people head for a quiet spot to study, meet friends in the courtyard, or grab a meal in the Subway downstairs. Students line up at the box office for tickets and gather at the Edison Theatre for performances, making the building as much a cultural hub as a place to eat or work.
Look back from 2025, the Mallickrodt Center has evolved from its 1960s vision to its present form, yet its purpose has remained the same: to bring people together. As a space for learning, social life, and support services, the center stands as a lasting symbol of Washington University’s dedication to connection and collaboration.
